Trang is an associate in our global transactions team, based in our Ho Chi Minh City office.

Trang is a highly-skilled corporate M&A lawyer who has been practising law for 14 years. Trang specialises in advising on complex cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint venture arrangements, and competition law. She has extensive experience in pharmaceuticals, FMCG, renewable energy, logistics, and manufacturing sectors. Trang also advises on international trade and WTO laws.

Prior to joining Freshfields, she worked for a reputable US law firm, a leading Japanese firm based in Ho Chi Minh City, and a leading Korean law firm based in Seoul and Hanoi.

• Acting for an Asian multinational client in the acquisition of an 80% interest in a local company operating limestone mining and lime-processing projects in Quang Ninh province, Vietnam.
• Acting for a German multinational in the acquisition of 50% of a fly ash processing company in Ninh Binh province, Vietnam.
• Acting for one of Vietnam's largest technology companies on the sale of a 27% stake to a Korean conglomerate.
• Acting for an Asian multinational energy developer on the acquisition of several wind and solar energy projects in Vietnam from local developers.
• Acting for a major private equity firm on the acquisition of 100% of two Vietnamese renewable project companies.
• Acting for a Thailand-based energy investor on the acquisition and development of four large-scale solar power plant projects in Vietnam with the total investment cost of over US$700m.
• Acting for an Asian conglomerate on the acquisition of stakes valued at US$1.1bn in certain companies in Vietnam specialising in beer and F&B businesses.
